Notes: When John Bayes' World War I draft registration card was filled out on June 5, 1917 in Johnson County, Kentucky, he stated that he was a self-employed farmer, that he had a wife and children, and that he was born October 26, 1892 in Oil Springs, Kentucky. He was found to be short, of medium build, and he had blue eyes and brown hair.

According to his obituary, John W. Bayes (age 78) was a resident of Orient, Ohio, at the time of his death. She married SAMUEL LEMASTER, son of JOSEPH ELI LEMASTER and LYDIA MARGARET TACKETT, March 10, 1894 in Magoffin County, Kentucky. She was born June 15, 1874 in Kentucky, died May 30, 1943 in Oil Springs, Johnson County, Kentucky, and is buried in Oil Springs, Johnson County, Kentucky.

Notes: Samuel Lemaster was the brother of James Wayman Lemaster, Columbus P. Lemaster, Missouri Ellen Lemaster, Ambrose S. Lemaster, Turtle Dove Lemaster, and William O. Bradley Lemaster.

      According to Kentucky birth record transcripts, Henry Gilliam was born in Greenup County to Lou Stewart.
      According to a photo of their headstone, A. Coy Gilliam lived from 1913 to 1973, and Lou V. Gilliam from 1914 to 1964.
      According to Social Security death record transcripts, A. Gilliam was born October 27, 1913, and died in June of 1973. He received his Social Security card prior to 1951 in Kentucky.
      According to Ohio death record transcripts, Coy Gilliam was born about 1914, and died June 23, 1973 in Mt. Carmel Medical Center in Columbus, Franklin County, at the age of 59. He was widowed and living in Franklin County at the time of his death. On pages 18 & 19 of the 1940 census for District 45-22 in Greenup County, Kentucky (dated April 30 & May 2, 1940, Coy Gilliam is listed as the head of the household for house #128, he's a coal miner, born in Kentucky, he's living in the same place that he was in 1935, he has no formal education, and he's 26 years old. Also listed are Lou (wife, born in Kentucky, she was living in Carter County, Kentucky, in 1935, no formal education, age 25), and Henry (son, born in Kentucky, age 2).

      Notes: According to Kentucky birth record transcripts, there was a Lucy Gillum [Lucy Gilliam] who was born July 21, 1921 in Greenup County to Julia Fairchild.
      According to her death certificate, Annie Gilliam died in Pendleton, Ophir, Morgan County, Kentucky, in June of 1922 from spinal trouble, which she'd had her entire short life. Also on this certificate, her birthplace is listed as Kentucky, her birth date as August 1, 1921, her age as 11 months, her parents as Ira Gilliam (b. Kentucky) and Julia Fairchild (b. Kentucky), the informant as Mart Gilliam of Ophir, Kentucky, and the burial place as J. F. Hill Cemetery in Ophir.
      According to Kentucky death record transcripts, Annie Gilliam died June 14, 1922 in Morgan County at the age of less than 1 year. She was living in Morgan County at the time of her death.

Also on this certificate, his birthplace is listed as Morgan County, his birth date as October 24, 1922, his parents as Ira Gilliam (b. Morgan County) and Julia Fairchild (b. Johnson County), the informant as Ira Gilliam of Ophir, and the burial place and date as J. F. Hill Cemetery in Ophir on October 25, 1922.
      According to Kentucky death record transcripts, Earl Gilliam died October 24, 1922 in Morgan County at the age of less than 1 year. He was living in Morgan County at the time of his death.
