Notes: When William Cantrell's World War I draft registration card was filled out on September 12, 1918 in West Liberty, Morgan County, Kentucky, he stated that he was a self-employed farmer in Silverhill, Morgan County, that his closest relative was Decie Cantrell of Silverhill, and that he was born October 14, 1881. He was found to be tall and stout, and he had black eyes and black hair.

When William Cantrell's World War II draft registration card was filled out on April 27, 1942 in West Liberty, Morgan County, Kentucky, he stated that he was a farmer in Silverhill, Morgan County, that the person who would always know his address was Decie Cantrell of Silverhill, and that he was born October 14, 1882 in Morgan County, Kentucky. He was found to be 6 feet tall, he weighed 150 pounds, and he had black eyes, black hair, and a dark complexion.

Information found on the Johnson County Historical Society's website and photos of their headstones (photo 2) shows that Joe Cantrell lived from January 12, 1892 to March 25, 1981, and was buried in Willie Preston Cemetery in Meally, Johnson County, Kentucky, and that Nancy Cantrell lived from August 23, 1910 to February 22, 1960, and was buried in the same cemetery.

According to his obituary, Joe Cantrell (age 89), son of John and Montgomery Cantrell [sic], was a resident of Meally, Kentucky. He was born January 12, 1892 in Morgan County, died March 25, 1981 in Paintsville Hospital, and was buried in the family cemetery in Meally. Notes: Dixie Mann was the sister of Bill Mann, who married Amanda Elizabeth Cantrell, daughter of Catherine Bolin and Asa Cantrell. Asa Cantrell was Bruce Cantrell's uncle.

Lonnie Mann was the brother of Henry Mann.

According to his obituary, Lon Mann (age 72), son of Henry and Harvetta Goble Mann, was a miner, and a lifelong resident of Van Lear, Kentucky. He was born August 16, 1885 in Van Lear, died February 20, 1957 at home in Van Lear from a 5 year battle with cancer, and was buried in the family cemetery in Van Lear.
