Notes: According to their marriage license, which was filled out on January 10, 1916, Millard Hensley (farmer, b. Magoffin County, Kentucky, resident of Orient, Kentucky, age 19), son of Fielden Hensley and Drue Howard Hensley, was to marry Minnie Ross (b. Morgan County, Kentucky, resident of Logville, Kentucky, age 21), daughter of Tom Ross and Hettie Wadkins Ross.

MARGARET "PEGGY" HOWARD, daughter of FRANCES "FANNY" CANTRELL and JOHN H. HOWARD, was born December 4, 1874 in Kentucky, and died March 9, 1922 in Flat Fork, Magoffin County, Kentucky. She married (1) WILLIAM RISNER, son of ARCHIBALD JOHN RISNER and NANCY HOWARD, about 1894. He was born in February of 1847 in Kentucky, and died before 1910. She married (2) NEWELL CHAPMAN "CHAT" MONTGOMERY on November 30, 1909 in Magoffin County, Kentucky. William Risner married (1) WINNIE PHIPPS.

Notes: On page 690 of the book "Johnson County, Kentucky: A History of the County, and Genealogy of Its People Up to the Year 1927" by Mitchell Hall, under Floyd County marriages, it says that Archibald Risnor married Nancy Howard on March 13, 1840.

William Risner was the brother of Andrew Trumbo Risner.

According to Kentucky marriage record transcripts, William Risner married Minnie Phipps on November 14, 1867 in Magoffin County at the home of Thomas Prater. The witnesses were Thomas Prater, Green Phipps, and Reuben Risner, and the minister was Thomas Howard.

According to his death certificate, Lafe Risner died November 22, 1936 in Mt. Sterling, Montgomery County, Kentucky, from hypertensive heart disease. Also on this certificate, his birthplace is listed as Magoffin County, Kentucky, his birth date as November 8, 1874, his marital status as married, his wife as Mrs. Jane Risner, his occupation as retired merchant, his parents as William Risner (b. Magoffin County) and Miss Phipps (b. Magoffin County), the informant as Otto Risner of Mt. Sterling, and the burial place as Mt. Sterling.

When Dallas Risner's World War I draft registration card was filled out on September 12, 1918 in Paintsville, Johnson County, Kentucky, he stated that he was a miner working for Consolidation Coal Company in Van Lear, Johnson County, that his closest relative was Peggy Risnor of Van Lear, and that he was born July 19, 1898. He was found to be tall and slender, and he had brown eyes and brown hair.

A listing of the people buried in Spring Grove Cemetery in Wyandot County, Ohio, shows that Dallas T. Risner lived from 1899 to 1953, and was buried in Row M, Lot 612, Grave 1, and that Fannie Risner lived from 1902 to 19__ [sic], and was buried in Row M, Lot 612, Grave 2.

"Frank Davis, 60, died Sunday morning at his home near the old CCC camp near Paintsville following a lingering illness. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at the Freewill Baptist Church at Riceville, the Reverend Scott Castle officiating. Internment was in the family cemetery. Mr. Davis was well and favorably known in Paintsville and adjoining vicinity and has a host of friends who are grieved at his passing. He was a kind and loving husband and father, a good neighbor and was beloved by all who know him. He is survived by his wife, Mrs Eula Salyer Davis; the following children, Miles, Elmer, Jack, Evelyn, Nella, Patsy Meade, and Douglas Davis and Mrs. George Spencer, all of Paintsville; Mrs. Homer Stapleton and Mrs. Robert Waddell, both of Indiana, three brothers Ed and Albert Davis, both of Riceville, and Milt Davis of Catlettsburg; and two sisters, Mrs. J.
