Information found on the Johnson County Historical Society's website and a photo of their headstone shows that John Riley Cantrell, son of John Cantrell and Sarah Webb, lived from 1859 to March 21, 1940, and was buried in Johnson County Memorial Gardens in Staffordsville, Johnson County, Kentucky, and that Alice Cantrell lived from 1870 to 1955, and was buried in the same cemetery. This is a cemetery that was used extensively for re-interment of burials from other cemeteries due to the construction of Paintsville Lake and road construction throughout Johnson County.

According to his death certificate, John R. Cantrell died March 21, 1940 in Ophir, Johnson County, Kentucky, from auricular fibrilation. A photo of her headstone found on bobbystuff.com shows that Myrtle Bolin lived from July 4, 1909 to February 1, 1987, and was buried in Williams Cemetery in Dingus, Morgan County, Kentucky.

"WEST LIBERTY - Myrtle Bolin, 77, of Rt. 1, Jeffersonville, died Feb. 1 at St. Claire Medical Center. Born in Magoffin County, she was the daughter of the late Elija and Ellen Bolin Smith. Mrs. Bolin was a member of the Baptist church. She is survived by her husband, Henry Bolin; three daughters, Ruie Fay Cantrell and Felcie Wright, both of Jeffersonville, and Wandleen Smith, West Liberty. Three sons, Charlie Cantrell and Buford Cantrell, both of Jeffersonville, and Lonnie Cantrell, West Liberty. A half-sister, Margie Pack and a half-brother, Frank Smith, both of West Liberty; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Services were conducted Feb. 4 at the Union Enterprise Church in West Liberty by the Elders Bill McGuire and Virgil McGuire. Burial was in the Bradley Cemetery in West Liberty. Herald and Stewart Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements."

      According to his obituary found online, Ollie Jay Smith (age 91), son of the late James Clinton and Junie Elizabeth Doolin Smith, served as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division of the 508th Infantry, Company B, at the Battle of the Bulge in World War II. After the war, he returned to Morgan County, Kentucky, where he worked as a Deputy Sheriff for 8 years, and then as a carpenter until 1984 when he retired from the Ohio Carpenters Union. He was born October 22, 1922 in Morgan County, Kentucky, died July 12, 2014 at home in Riverview, Florida, and was buried in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Northeast. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers, John Smith, Van Smith, and Henry Smith; 4 sisters, Ruby Gray, Wilma Gibson, Maxine Blankenship, and Jewel Lank.
