According to Ohio death record transcripts, Kelly Sparks was born about 1900, and died June 22, 1968 in Veterans Administration Medical Center in Ross County at the age of 68. His place of residence is listed as Chillicothe, Ross County, and he was divorced at the time of his death.

In 1910 there are 5 children in the house under the age of 5 and Ellen claims that she is the mother of 2 children and has been married for 6 years. The names of the children match the names in the 1900 census, for the most part, so it appears that the ages of some are wrong in 1910.

Catherine Smith was the sister of Elijah Smith and John Smith.

Jane's full name has been reported to be Maranda Jane Smith.

Ellen's family's last name has been spelled Bolin, Bolen, Bowling, and Bowlin in various census reports.

According to her death certificate, Ellen Bolin Smith died May 10, 1944 in Lacey from breast cancer. John and Elizabeth Salyer Cantrell raised their grandson, Alonzo, as their own. See notes under their son Elijah.

In 1900, John and Elizabeth's grandson, Alonzo, is found living with them. In 1910 John Cantrell is found living in the home of Alonzo, and is listed as Alonzo's grandfather, and he's also found to be widowed. There is a Lizza Cantrell that is about the same age as John's wife, living in the same home, but she is listed as being being Alonzo's mother and widowed. In 1920, Elizabeth is found living in the home of her son, Elijah, and is listed as being his mother. John reportedly died in 1919 in Morgan County.

John Cantrell was in Co. A, 7th Battalion in the Confederate Cavalry during the Civil War.

According to Kentucky death record transcripts, Elizabeth Cantrell died February 20, 1921 in Morgan County at the age of 96.

He was found to be of medium height and build, and he had blue eyes and black hair.

According to her death certificate, Betty Cantrill Adams died January 20, 1932 in Hager Hill from mitral regurgitation. Also on this certificate, her birthplace is listed as Morgan County, her birthdate as June 8, 1886, her marital status as married, her husband as Joe Adams, her parents as Henry Cantrill (b. Morgan County) and Hulda Doolan (b. Morgan County), and the informant as Lonza Cantrill of Paintsville, Kentucky.

Later he had his shop near the mouth of Rule Branch on the bank of Paint Creek. He is described by William Elsey Connelley as a fine mechanic. His true love, however, was the manufacture and playing of fiddles. He passed this love down through his grandson, Levi who was one of the most accomplished fiddlers in this country."

Notes: Julia A. Frazier was the sister of James Hiram Frazier, Elizabeth Frazier, who married Levi Hannah, son of Nancy Fairchild and Ebenezer Scott Hannah, and Mary Ann Frazier.

Zilpha Lemaster was the was the sister of Judith Lemaster, James P. Lemaster, Mary Almeda Lemaster and Thomas Lemaster.

The fact that Julia Frazier was the daughter of William Frazier and Zilpha Lemaster us pure conjecture. John Hannah's brother, Levi, married Elizabeth Frazier, daughter of William and Zilpha, and Levi and Elizabeth can be found living next to Elizabeth's parents in 1880. In the 1870 census William and Zilpha Frazier have a daughter that was born about 1862 by the name of Judith. It is proposed here that Judith was the Julia Frazier that married John Hannah. Both John and Julia's names are on their daughter's death certificate.

Julia Frazier reportedly died about 1885 in Johnson County, Kentucky, at the age of 22.

Blair is listed as the head of the household for house #146, he's a farmer, born in Kentucky, parents born in Kentucky, and he's 44 years old. Also listed are Nancy J. (wife, born in Kentucky, parents born in Kentucky, age 28), Levi (son, born in Kentucky, age 9), Sarah A. (daughter, born in Kentucky, age 7), Alamander (son, born in Kentucky, age 4), Leander (son, born in Kentucky, age 4), and Andrew H. (son, born in February of 1880 in Kentucky, age 3 months). It's unknown why Britton's name is listed as the head of the household for this family. Britton was James' brother and his family couldn't be found in the 1880 census for Barnetts Creek.

(wife, born in April of 1880 in Kentucky, parents born in Kentucky, married for 3 years, she's given birth to 1 child and that child is still living, age 20), Alamander (son, single, farmer, born in Kentucky, age 24), Andrew J. (son, born in February of 1880 in Kentucky, age 20), Walter (son, born in May of 1882 in Kentucky, age 18), Lindsey (son, born in April of 1884 in Kentucky, age 16), Harry B. (wife, born in Kentucky, parents born in Kentucky, age 37). Daughter Mary Jane and her family are found living under the same roof and son Andrew is in house #145.

Notes: According to Johnson County, Kentucky, birth records, both Leander Blair and his brother Alamander were born on February 11, 1876 to Jas. H.C. Blair (b. Johnson County) and Nancy J. Conly (b. Johnson County).

When Leander Blair's World War I draft registration card was filled out on September 12, 1918 in Paintsville, Johnson County, Kentucky, he stated that he was a self-employed farmer in Riceville, Johnson County, that his closest relative was Bertie Blair of Riceville, and that he was born February 11, 1876. He was found to be of medium height and build, and he had brown hair and brown eyes.

According to his death certificate, Leander Blair died December 17, 1923 in Riceville from a fractured skull. That injury reportedly came during a mining accident. Also on this certificate, his birthplace is listed as Johnson County, his marital status as divorced, his occupation as miner, his parents as Henry Blair (b. Johnson County) and Nancy Spradlin (b. Johnson County), and the informant as Elmer Blair of Riceville, Kentucky.

On page 39 of the 1900 census for District 40 (Magisterial District No. 3) in Johnson County, Kentucky (dated June 19, 1900), Leander Blair is listed as the head of the household for house #337, no occupation is listed, born in February of 1876 in Kentucky, married for 2 years, and he's 24 years old. Also listed are Paulina (wife, born in February of 1881 in Kentucky, parents born in Kentucky, married for 2 years, she's given birth to 1 child and that child is still living, age 19), and Lindsey (son, born in March of 1899 in Kentucky, age 1).
