She was born March 1, 1889 in Kentucky, and died October 1, 1964 in Scioto County, Ohio.

    Ottis Conley reportedly died in April of 1959 in Wheelersburg, Scioto County, Ohio.

    When Ottis Conley's World War I draft registration card was filled out on June 5, 1917 in Sciotoville, Scioto County, Ohio, he stated that he had a wife and 4 children, and that he was born July 2, 1886 in Magoffin County, Kentucky. He was found to be short, of medium build, and he had blue eyes and dark brown hair.

    When Ottis Conley's World War II draft registration card was filled out on April 27, 1942 in Portsmouth, Scioto County, Ohio, he stated that he was living in Porter Township in Scioto County, that he was employed by N & W Railroad, that the person who would always know his address was Bertie Conley, that he was born July 2, 1886 in Salyersville, Kentucky, and that he had no middle name. He was found to be 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighed 125 pounds, and he had blue eyes, gray hair, and a ruddy complexion.

    According to Ohio death record transcripts, Bertie Conley was born about 1889, and died October 1, 1964 at home in Scioto County at the age of 75. She was widowed at the time of her death.

    Notes: William W. May was the brother of Harvey Trimble May.

    Ancestry.com records show that William W. May married Catherine Conley in 1852. She reportedly died about 1862. Records show that a William W. May married a Mary Conley in 1863. Mary Conley was reportedly the mother of Dial Floyd May and Samuel E. May, but no records could be found to support this. She reportedly died July 4, 1868 in Floyd County, Kentucky.

    Notes: When James Hargus Conley's World War I draft registration card was filled out on September 12, 1918 in Paintsville, Johnson County, Kentucky, he stated that he was a self-employed farmer in Riceville, Johnson County, that his closest relative was Mrs. Julia Conley of Riceville, and that he was born May 15, 1879. He was found to be of medium height and build, and he had brown eyes and brown hair.

    According to his obituary, Hargus Conley (age 79 (son of Marion and Adaline Sturgill Conley, was a United Baptist minister, a farmer, and a former postmaster. He was born May 15, 1878 in Floyd County, died August 11, 1957 at home in Riceville after an illness of several months, and was buried in the family cemetery. He was survived by his wife, Julia Rice Conley; 4 sons, Elbert Conley (of Riceville), Bruce Conley (Carey, Ohio), Verner Conley (Hager Hill), and Lawrence Conley (Paramount, California); 2 daughters, Ruth Hughes (Prestonsburg) and Sola Conley (Riceville); 4 brothers, Miles Conley (Greenup), Dock Conley (Portsmouth, Ohio), Joe Conley (Alger, Ohio), and Frank Conley (Wenatchee, Washington); and 2 sisters, Amanda Griffith (Greenup) and Mrs. Lydia Howes (Ivyton).     SARAH CATHERINE FAIRCHILD, daughter of ELI W. FAIRCHILD and MALISSA JANE MAY, was born May 19, 1866 in Kentucky, died November 16, 1941 in Paintsville, Johnson County, Kentucky, and is buried in the family cemetery in Asa, Johnson County, Kentucky. She married SAMUEL DAVID MAY, son of JAMES LEWIS MAY and LOUISA A. PATRICK, March 8, 1884. He was born September 4, 1859 in Floyd County, Kentucky, and died June 20, 1934.

    Notes: Samuel David May was the brother of James Frank May.

    According to Kentucky birth records, Samuel D. May was born September 4, 1859 in Floyd County to James L. May and Louisa A. Patrick.

    According to her death certificate, Mary Catherin May died November 16, 1941 in Golden Rule Hospital in Paintsville from arteriosclerosis and valvular heart disease. Also on this certificate, her birthdate is listed as May 19, 1866, her marital status as widowed, her husband as Samuel D. May, her parents as Eli Fairchild (b. Kentucky) and Malissa May (b. Kentucky), and the informant as Claude May of Asa, Kentucky.

May is listed as the head of the household for house #96, he's a farmer, born in Kentucky, and he's 27 years old. Also listed are Louisa A. Also listed are Kate (wife, born in Kentucky, parents born in Kentucky, first married at 17, age 63), and Dessie (daughter, single, store clerk, born in Kentucky, age 25). Under the same roof, but listed as a seperate family, is son Claude.

    OSSIE DAVIS CONLEY, son of WILLIAM D. CONLEY and ANNA BLANCHE MCFARLAND, was born August 12, 1900 in Kentucky, and died in May of 1965 in Ohio.

    Notes: When Ossie Davis Conley's World War I draft registration card was filled out in Petersburg, Menard County, Illinois (undated), he stated that he was a farm laborer working for Stanley Shaw in Fancy Prairie, Menard County, that his closest relative was William Conley of Fancy Prairie, and that he was born August 12, 1900. He was found to be tall and slender, and he had gray eyes and black hair.







    MALLIE E. CONLEY, daughter of WILLIAM D. CONLEY and ANNA BLANCHE MCFARLAND, was born May 2, 1906 in Kentucky, and died in February of 1982 in Lincoln, Logan County, Illinois.

    Notes: Mallie Conley reportedly married a William "Willy" Klarr.

    According to Social Security death record transcripts, Mallie Conley was born May 2, 1906, and died in February of 1982. Her last place of residence was in Lincoln, Logan County, Illinois.
