When Ewell Conley's World War I draft registration card was filled out on June 5, 1917 in Magoffin County, Kentucky, he stated that he was a self-employed farmer in Falcon, Magoffin County, and that he was born February 20, 1893 in Wheelersburg, Magoffin County. He was found to be of medium height and build, and he had brown eyes and dark-colored hair.

According to his death certificate, Ewell W. Conley died April 27, 1949 in Prairie Township, Franklin County, Ohio, from stomach cancer. Also on this certificate, his birthplace is listed as Magoffin County, Kentucky, his birth date as February 20, 1893, his marital status as married, his occupation as farmer, his parents as Shanon Conley and Eliza Love, the informant as Lydia Conley, and the burial place as State Road Fork Cemetery in Falcon, Magoffin County, Kentucky.

According to his obituary, Ewell W. Conley (age 56), son of Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Conley, was born in Magoffin County, died April 27, 1949 at home in Columbus, Ohio, after a year's battle with cancer, and was buried in the family cemetery. He had lived in Magoffin County up until 10 years prior to his death, when he moved to Columbus. He was survived by 3 sons, Bruce Conley (of Cynthiana), Mitchell Conley (Lickburg), and Garner Conley (Columbus, Ohio); 4 daughters, Mrs. Everett Cheek (Cynthiana), Miss Addie Conley (Columbus, Ohio), Miss Myrtie Conley (Columbus, Ohio), and Miss Cleola Conley (Columbus, Ohio); and 4 brothers, Tone Conley (Lickburg), John Conley (Lickburg), Edward Conley (Lickburg), and Grant Conley (Hilliard, Ohio). Information found on findagrave.com and a photo of their headstone shows that M. Blanche Pennington lived from 1898 to 1966, and was buried in Howard Cemetery #2 in Coopersville, Pike County, Ohio, and that Walter B. Pennington lived from 1898 to 1986, and was buried in the same cemetery.

He married (1) ALLIE MILLER COOPER, daughter of ARCHIBALD PRATER COOPER and MANERVA BELLE PICKLESIMER, April 16, 1910, in Salyersville, Magoffin County, Kentucky. She was born August 2, 1894 in Magoffin County, Kentucky, died December 25, 1967 in Paintsville, Johnson County, Kentucky, and is buried in A. P. Cooper Cemetery in Cyrus, Magoffin County, Kentucky. Ogden Conley married (2) ESTHER M. ROEBUCK. She was born about 1892 in Ohio.

He married (1) Allie Miller Cooper. She was born August 2, 1894, died December 25, 1967, and was buried in A. P. Cooper Cemetery. He married (2) Esther Roebuck.

According to Kentucky marriage record transcripts, Ogden Conley married Allie Cooper on April 16, 1910 in Magoffin County at the home of A. P. Cooper. The witnesses were G. W. Conley and Santford Johnson, and the minister was I. C. Howard.

When Ogden Conley's World War I draft registration card was filled out on May 29, 1917 in Magoffin County, Kentucky, he stated that he was a farmer working for J. H. Laudler in Lucasville, Ohio, that he was single, that he had 2 dependent children under 12 years old, and that he was born May 9, 1890 in Salyersville, Kentucky. He was found to be of medium height and build, and he had brown eyes and black hair.

When Ogden's World War II draft registration card was filled out on April 27, 1942 in Starke County, Indiana, he stated that he was unemployed, that the person who will always know his address was Edwin Conley of Wheelersburg, Kentucky, and that he was born May 9, 1891 in Salyersville. He was found to be 5 feet 9 inches tall, he weighed 165 pounds, and he had gray eyes, black hair, and a light brown complexion.

Information found on findagrave.com and a photo of his headstone shows that Ogden Conley lived from May 9, 1890 to April 28, 1972, and was buried in Florida Memorial Gardens in Rockledge, Brevard County, Florida. His headstone is also engraved with "KENTUCKY SGT US ARMY WORLD WAR I."

According to Social Security death record transcripts, Ogden Conley was born May 9, 1890, and died in April of 1972. His Social Security card was issued prior to 1951 through the Railroad Board, and his last place of residence was in Melbourne, Brevard County, Florida.

According to Florida death record transcripts, Ogden Conley was born May 9, 1980, and died April 28, 1972 in Brevard County at the age of 81.

Other information found on findagrave.com and a photo of her headstone shows that Allie Miller Cooper lived from August 2, 1894 to December 25, 1967, and was buried in A. P. Cooper Cemetery in Magoffin County, Kentucky. Her obituary on the same site says that Allie M. Cooper (age 73), daughter of the late Archibald and Belle Picklesimer Cooper, was a resident of Lickburg, Kentucky, at the time of her death. She was born August 2, 1894 in Magoffin County, died December 25 in a Paintsville Hospital, and was buried in A. P. Cemetery in Cyrus. She was survived by 1 son, Edwin Conley (of Fairborn, Ohio); 1 daughter, Mrs. Leona Hale (Lickburg); 1 sister, Mrs. Clara Hale (Mt. Sterling, Ohio); 5 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

According to Social Security death record transcripts, Allie Cooper was born August 2, 1894, and died in December of 1967. Her last place of residence was in Lickburg, Magoffin County, Kentucky.

According to Kentucky death record transcripts, Allie M. Cooper died December 25, 1967 in Johnson County at the age of 73. She was living in Magoffin County at the time of her death.

He married (1) AMANDA M. BLAIR, daughter of MATILDA SPRADLIN and GEORGE WASHINGTON "WATT" BLAIR, June 17, 1893. She was born August 20, 1859 in Johnson County, Kentucky, died July 10, 1943 in Asa, Johnson County, Kentucky, and is buried in Denver, Johnson County, Kentucky. He married (2) MARY S. "MOLLIE" O'BRYANT, daughter of EDMOND O'BRYANT and DIANNA SPARKS. She was born May 31, 1876 in Johnson County, Kentucky, died August 13, 1963 in Johnson County, Kentucky, and is buried in the family cemetery in Davis Branch, Johnson County, Kentucky.

Notes: Sanford and Amanda didn't have any children, but took in Daniel Davis as a foster child.

According to his obituary, Sanford Arms (age 84), was born April 17, 1873 in Johnson County, lived in the county all of his life, died March 7, 1957 at home in King Addition following an illness of 7 months, and was buried in Blair Cemetery in Barnetts Creek. He was survived by his wife, Mary Stapleton Arms; 2 step-sons, Miltie Stapleton (of Washington Court House, Ohio) and Jesse Lee Stapleton (Washington Court House, Ohio); 2 step-daughters, Mrs. Add Melvin (King Addition) and Mrs. Oncia Lemasters (Defiance, Ohio); 2 brothers, Daniel Arms (West Van Lear) and Elbert Arms (Riceville); and 1 sister, Mrs. Sarah Jane Blair. According to her obituary, Amanda Blair Arms (age 83), daughter of Watt and Matilda Spradlin Blair, was born August 20, 1859 in Johnson County, died July 10, 1943 at home in Asa, and was buried in Denver, Kentucky. She was first married to Leona Stapleton, who preceded her in death. She later married Sanford Arms, who also preceded her in death. She was survived by 2 sons, Miltie Stapleton (of Washington Court House, Ohio) and Jessie Lee Stapleton (Defiance, Ohio); 2 daughters, Stella Melvin (Paintsville) and Oretha Lemaster (Defiance, Ohio); 6 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. According to his obituary, Bud Ratliff (age 76), "suffered a heart attack and died instantly last Friday, November 27. Mr. Ratliff, who resides on Horse Mill Branch, had been in town most of the day and had started home. While about half way up the cemetery road which leads across the hill to his home he was seized with an attack and fell in the road. A small boy nearby discovered Mr. Ratliff’s plight and called Dr. D. H. Daniel from the City View Hospital. The aged man was breathing his last when Dr. Daniel arrived at the scene. Mr. Ratliff had been suffering from heart trouble for several months. Funeral services were held at the home on Horse Mill Branch and burial in the Turner Cemetery, two miles west of Paintsville.
