Alka Estep's parents names were found in her sister Vernie Estep Jones' obituary (1904-1950). Alka Arms of Paintsville was listed as a surviving sister in that obituary. Alka Arms of Barnetts Creek was also listed as a surviving sister in her brother Lundie's obituary (1915-2005).

Minnie Blair Arms had a stillborn female child on October 25, 1925 in Jennies Creek, and she died a few days later due to complications from that birth.

When Evertt Arms' World War I draft registration card was filled out on June 5, 1917 in Johnson County, Kentucky, he stated that he was a farmer in Denver, Johnson County, that he was married and had a child, and that he was born August 23, 1895 in Barnetts Creek, Kentucky. He was found to be of medium height and build, and he had blue eyes and light brown hair.

According to her death certificate, Minnie Arms died November 3, 1925 in Holly Branch from complications of a miscarriage. Also on this certificate, her birthplace is listed as Johnson County, her age as 30, and the burial place as Denver, Kentucky.

According to his obituary, Everett Arms (age 76), son of Samuel K. and Sarah Adams Arms, was a resident of Paintsville and a retired carpenter and painter. He was born August 23, 1895, died April 4, 1972 in a local Johnson County hospital, and was buried in the family cemetery in Denver, Kentucky.
