Notes: It has been reported that Ada Cooper first married Irvin Hampton, son of Clarinda Collins and Jesse Hampton, and that they had a child, Eunice Eloise Hampton, but nothing could be found to substantiate this. The marriage reportedly took place about 1912, but in the 1930 census Ada reports that she was first married at age 25, which was about 1919. There was an Eloise Hampton born February 25, 1911 in Johnson County to an Ada Blanton, and it could be that Ada Cooper went by Ada Blanton, at that time. Her stepfather was James Anderson Blanton.

Ada couldn't be found in any census before 1930, so connecting her to her parents comes from the 1930 census, Kentucky birth record transcripts, and her sister Mary's death certificate. According to Kentucky birth record transcripts, Lonnie C. Lykins was born in Magoffin County to Ada Cooper. Ada and her son Cooper are found living with Mary and her husband, John Hale, in 1930. The fact that Lonnie C. Lykins is Lonnie Cooper Lykins, and that his mother was Ada, comes from Lonnie's daughter, Rosie Lykins Brooks. Mary died in 1947 from cardiac failure and on her death certificate her name is listed as Mary Elizabeth Hale and her parents as Will Green Cooper and Sementhy Pace.

According to Social Security death record transcripts, Ada Hunley was born December 24, 1894, and died in April of 1971. She received her Social Security card prior to 1951 in Indiana, and her last place of residence was in Union City, Randolph County, Indiana.

William Prewitt's mother's maiden name was reportedly Mary Jane Cox.

According to her death certificate, Mary C. Prewitt died December 28, 1918 in Whitley County from broncho-pneumonia with influenza as a contributing factor. Also on this certificate, her birthplace is listed as Magoffin County, her birth date as November 14, 1865, her marital status as married, her parents as Edmond Conley [b. Kentucky] and Julia McCarter [b. Virginia], the informant as W. A. Prewitt, and the burial place as Corinth Cemetery.

According to his death certificate, William A. Prewitt died March 9, 1944 in Otas from lobar pneumonia. Also on this certificate, his birth date is listed as September 29, 1863, his marital status as widowed, his wife as Mary Prewitt, his parents as unknown, the informant as Charley Russell of Otas, Kentucky, and the burial place as Corinth Cemetery in Corgin.

When Millard E. Hill's World War I draft registration card was filled out on June 5, 1917 in Whitley County, Kentucky, he stated that he was a miner working for Mamoth B. G. Coal Company in Whitley County, that he was single, that he was living in Rye, Kentucky, and that he was born November 6, 1890 in Whitley County, Kentucky. He was found to be of medium height and build, and he had brown eyes and brown hair.

According to Kentucky death record transcripts, Millard E. Hill died December 25, 1958 in Whitley County at the age of 68. He was living in Whitley County at the time of his death.

There is no solid proof that the Grace Pace that was the daughter of Albert and Ellen Crace Pace was the Grace Pace that married Riley Adkins, just the evidence being offered here. There was only one Grace Pace in Magoffin County in 1900 and 1910. Grace and Riley are found in house #192 in District 78 (Ivyton) in 1920, and Grace's parents are found in house #66 of the same district.

When Riley Atkins' World War I draft registration card was filled out on June 5, 1917 in Ivyton, Magoffin County, Kentucky, he stated that he was a self-employed farmer in Ivyton, that he had a wife and children, and that he was born December 5, 1889 in Ivyton. He was found to be of medium height and build, he had blue eyes and black hair, and he had heart disease and piles.

On page 20 of the 1920 census for District 78 (Ivyton) in Magoffin County, Kentucky (dated January 28, 1920), Riley Adkins is listed as the head of the household for house #192, he's a farmer, born in Kentucky, parents born in Kentucky, and he's 30 years old. Also listed are Grace (wife, born in Kentucky, parents born in Kentucky, age 26), Leneva (daughter, born in Kentucky, age 9), Ernest (son, born in Kentucky, age 6), Lizzie (daughter, born in Kentucky, age 4 years 4 months), Virgelandie [hard to read] (daughter, born in Kentucky, age 2 years 4 months), and Charlie Osborne (boarder, single, fireman for the railroad, born in Virginia, parents born in Virginia, age 21).

Notes: Louvina Hogg's maiden name was confirmed by finding the birth record of an unnamed female [Minnalee] who was born August 15, 1876 in Letcher County. Her parents names were listed as Hiram Frazier and Louviny Hogg. Her name is listed as Vinah Hogg on son Solomon's birth record when he was born in 1874 in Letcher County.

According to her death certificate, Mary Ellen Frazier died August 11, 1937 in Salyersville from a cerebral hemorrhage. Also on this certificate, her birthplace is listed as Kentucky, her age as 60, her marital status as widowed, the informant as Forest Frazier of Salyersville, the doctor as B. R. Conley [Byron Richard Conley], and the burial place as Burning Fork, Kentucky.

According to Kentucky death record transcripts, Mary E. Frazier died August 11, 1937 in Magoffin County at the age of 60. She was living in Salyersville at the time of her death.

According to his death certificate, James M. Frazier died December 16, 1935 in Salyersville from prostate cancer. Also on this certificate, his birthplace is listed as Kentucky, his birth date as September 16, 1872, his marital status as married, his occupation as farmer, his parents as Hiram Frazier (b. Kentucky) and Vina Hogg (b. Kentucky), the informant as Forest E. Frazier of Salyersville, and the burial place as Burning Fork Cemetery.

Cynthia Williams Blanton was reportedly the daughter of Lafayette Scott Williams and Milly Sagraves. She was born March 22, 1883, died April 2, 1907, and was buried in the Sanford L. Blanton Cemetery in Johnson County. That cemetery can be found by taking Route 172 from Staffordsville to Route 689 in Flat Gap. In approximately 3 miles is a cemetery on the hill on the right. This property was owned by Frank Pennington in March of 2008. This information was taken from the book "Johnson County Cemeteries," Volume 3, page 96.

George Blanton's 2nd wife was Addie Pritchard, who was the sister of Sally Prichard and Willie Prichard. According to her obituary, Addie was the daughter of the late Charlie and Mary Ann Cantrell Prichard, and was born March 31, 1885 in Johnson County, died April 22, 1955 in a local Johnson County hospital after an illness of 3 weeks, and was buried in the family cemetery. He was found to be tall, of medium build, and he had blue eyes and light-colored hair.

According to Social Security death record transcripts, Virgie Hannah was born November 15, 1890, and died in April of 1985. Her last place of residence was in Van Lear, Johnson County, Kentucky.

According to Kentucky death record transcripts, Virgie L. Hannah died April 1, 1985 in Floyd County at the age of 94. She was living in Johnson County at the time of her death.
