He was born March 10, 1873 in Menifee County, Kentucky, died July 19, 1942 in Mount Sterling, Montgomery County, Kentucky, and is buried in Mann Cemetery in Morgan County, Kentucky.

Notes: In 1880, Curtis Easterling's family is living next to the K. D. Sexton family, who's daughter Mary will become Curtis' wife. Mary's father was reportedly Caleb Sexton, brother of Cynthia Ann Sexton, who was the 2nd wife of William E. Easterling, Curtis' father. Mary Sexton's mother's full maiden name was reportedly Nancy Emmaline Patrick. Mary's son with Curtis Easterling was named Caleb.

Wells lived from 1886 to 1984, was buried in Woodside Cemetery in Middletown, Butler County, Ohio, and that Ben M. Wells lived from 1873 to 1942, and was buried in Mann Cemetery in Morgan County, Kentucky.

"Mrs. Mary M. Wells, 98, of 2401 S.Sutphin St., died Thursday at 12:05am at Middletown Regional Hospital.

"A native of Morgan County, Ky., Mrs. Wells came to Middletown in 1944, two years after the death of her second husband, Benjamin Wells. Mrs. Wells was the oldest member of the Breiel Boulevard Church of God and an active member of the Dorcas Circle quilters. Her work in cutting patches and stitching them together for the quilting society despite her arthritis was the subject of a Journal feature story in September.

"Survivors include two sons, Caleb Easterling of Eldorado, Ohio, and Leon Wells of Naples, Fla.; a daughter, Mrs. Alma Roe of Neptune, N.J.; a stepson, Dorsey Wells of Morrow; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a brother, John Sexton of Middletown.

"Funeral services will be Saturday at 10pm at Breittenbach-McCoy Funeral Home, the Rev. J. Herschel Caudill officiating. Burial will be at Woodside Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 5 to 9pm."

Clarissa Lemaster's maiden name was determined by finding the death certificate of one of her sons. Arthur Watson died March 29, 1950 in Elsie, Magoffin County, from angina pectoris. Also on this certificate, his birthplace is listed as Kentucky, his birth date as October 3, 1895, his marital status as married, his wife as Mary Watson, her age as 58, his occupation as oil field driller, his parents as Porter Watson (b. Kentucky) and Clarissa Lemaster (b. Kentucky), the informant as Will Watson of Elsie, Kentucky, and the burial place as Elsie, Kentucky.

Porter Watson's 2nd wife was Ida Hall, who was born in Edna, Kentucky. This was determined by finding the death certificate of one of her sons. Ed was more mechanically minded and thus started a career in maintenance, repairing various machines and robots. He earned Journeyman's cards in Hydraulics, Electricity, and Welding. His hobbies included debating how to fix the U.S. government at local coffee shops, woodworking, football, NASCAR, flying small Cessnas and extolling the virtues of the state of Virginia. Ed is survived by his children, Anne (Dick) Jenkins of Raleigh, N.C., Lee (Kay) Tieche of Elizabethtown, and Bruce (Rebecca) Tieche of Washington D.C.; grandchildren, Lauren (James) Hoffert, Hannah Jenkins, Tyler Tieche, Matthew Tieche, Kaylee Tieche, and Sophia Tieche; and great-grandsons, Owen and Peyton Hoffert. According to her death certificate, Mary F. Green died August 25, 1913 in Lakeville, Magoffin County, Kentucky, from tuberculosis of the bone. She was born May 4, 1919 in Pike County, Kentucky, died August 7, 1991 in Willard, Huron County, Ohio, and is buried in Greenwood Cemetery in Willard, Huron County, Ohio.

Notes: According to Kentucky birth record transcripts, Garnet O. Ratliff was born May 4, 1919 in Pike County to Lizzie Cavens. According to their marriage certificate, Hager Dyer (single, rubber worker, b. September 18, 1907, Sertz, Kentucky [Kerz], resident of Akron, Ohio, age 21), son of Budd Dyer and Mary Conley, married Aladine Sutton (single, waitress, b. November 11, 1911, Churchville, West Virginia, resident of Akron, Ohio, age 17), daughter of Albert A. Sutton and Mary A. Mitchell, on June 7, 1929 in Akron, Summit County, Ohio.

Information found on findagrave.com and a photo of their headstone shows that Hager Dyer lived from 1905 to 1998, and was buried in Greenwood Cemetery in Willard, Huron County, Ohio, and that Garnett O. Dyer lived from 1919 to 1991, and was buried in the same cemetery.
