    "My Mother

I want to remember my mother, Lota Ann Doyel. 1925 - 1969. She was the best. Always there for her family and chilldren. Five things that I remember about mom are:

    1. Her teachings: love family, love God, good morals, have patience, sing!
    2. The softness of her skin as she touched me or kissed my check.
    3. The smells of wonderful things baking and someone to talk to after school.
    4. She taught me how to stretch my money and look for bargains.
    5. She taught me to forgive myself and learn from my mistakes and she always walked beside me as I figured these things out.

I hear her wisdom whispered in my ear when I have important decisions to make. I still think I see her sometimes in a crowd, passing in a car, walking down the street. I will love meeting her again in heaven where I know we will sing together."
