CRACE and RACHEL ELIZABETH ARMS, was born June 6, 1889 in Kentucky, died May 8, 1947 in Denver, Johnson County, Kentucky, and is buried in Denver, Johnson County, Kentucky. She married HARRY B. SELVAGE, son of MARTHA HITCHCOCK and JOHN SELVAGE, about 1909. He was born January 4, 1884 in Rockhouse, Johnson County, Kentucky, died October 28, 1960 in Huntington, Cabell County, West Virginia, and is buried in Topsy Ratliff Cemetery in Denver, Johnson County, Kentucky. Harry Selvage married (2) ADA A. CHASTEEN, daughter of ISAAC ARCH CHASTEEN and MARTILLA J. LASWELL, November 24, 1948. She was born June 6, 1893 in Rockcastle County, Kentucky, died November 10, 1956 in Denver, Johnson County, Kentucky, and is buried in Bear Creek Cemetery in Dayton, Montgomer County, Ohio. He married (3) DORA FAIRCHILD.

Ada Chasteen's mother's maiden name is listed as Martiller Allen in Ada's obituary, but Kentucky marriage records show that Isaac A. Chasteen married Martiller J. Laswell on April 24, 1891 in Rockcastle County. Martilla J. Laswell can be found with her parents, David and Flurry J. Clark Laswell on page 41 of the 1870 census for District 1 in Rockcastle County, Kentucky, and on page 4 of the 1880 census for District 95 in Rockcastle County, Kentucky (where she is listed as "Tiller"). Martilla's mother's maiden name was determined by finding the birth record of Martilla's brother, William D. Laswell (1875).
According to her death certificate, there was a stillborn female born - unnamed - on December 4, 1914 in Van Lear, Johnson County, Kentucky, to Garry Selvage (b. Kentucky) and Cora Crace (b. Kentucky). This child was buried in Rock House, Johnson County, Kentucky.
When Harry B. Selvage's World War I draft registration card was filled out on September 12, 1918 in Paintsville, Johnson County, Kentucky, he stated that he was a farmer in Denver, Johnson County, that his closest relative was "Cora Selvage (wife)," and that he was born January 4, 1885. He was found to be of medium height and build, and he had blue eyes and dark-colored hair. Not being able to read or write, he signed the card with an "X."
According to her death certificate, Cora Lee Crace Selvage died May 8, 1947 in Denver from a coronary occlusion. Also on this certificate, her birthplace is listed as Kentucky, her birthdate as June 6, 1889, her marital status as married, her husband as Harry B. Selvage, her parents as Wilson Crace (b. Kentucky) and Rachel Arms (b. Kentucky), and the informant as John Selvage of Denver, Kentucky.
According to his obituary, Harry Selvage (age 76), son of John and Martha Hitchcock Selvage, was a retired miner who had lived in Denver, Kentucky, for the 11 years prior to his death. He was born January 4, 1884 in Rock House, died October 28, 1960 in St. Mary's Hospital in Huntington, West Virginia, and was buried in Ratliff Cemetery in Denver. He was first married to Cora Crace, who preceded him in death on May 6, 1947. He later married Ada Black, who preceded him in death on November 10, 1956. He was survived by his present wife, Dora Fairchild Selvage; 3 sons, John W. Selvage (of Shreve, Ohio), Robert Selvage (Dayton, Ohio), and Harry B. Selvage Jr. (Dayton); 4 daughters, Stella Mae Caudill (Auxier, Kentucky), Bessie Fairchild (Staffordsville), Maxie Webb (Alexander, Ohio), and Miss Mollie Selvage (Dayton); 5 brothers, Add Selvage (West Van Lear), Clate Selvage (Denver), Alfred Selvage (Denver), Jessie Selvage (Springfield, Ohio), and Cal Selvage (West Van Lear); 2 sisters, Mrs. Malta Ratliff (Denver) and Mrs. Mary Jane Spradlin (Barnetts Creek); 4 half-brothers, Ford Selvage (Wise, Virginia), Kelly Selvage (Lucasville, Ohio), Dewey Selvage (Staffordsville), and Wade Selvage (Ashland); and 5 half-sisters, Myrtle Fairchild (Paintsville), Stella Cooper (Ohio), Tavia Ealey (Turner Branch), Gracie Milan (Lucasville), and Zora Ward (Staffordsville).
