When Frank Blair's World War I draft registration card was filled out on September 12, 1918 in Paintsville, Johnson County, Kentucky, he stated that he was a miner working for the Green Rock Coal Company in Riceville, Johnson County, that his closest relative was Katy Blair of Ballot, Johnson County, and that he was born May 29, 1885. He was found to be of medium height and build, and he had brown eyes and dark-colored hair.

According to his death certificate, Frank Blair was killed December 21, 1930 in Ballot in a gun battle. Also on this certificate, his birthplace is listed as Kentucky, his birth date as May 29, 1885, his marital status as married, his parents as Briton Blair (b. Kentucky) and Mary Watkins (b. According to his death certificate, Harry H. Conley died May 20, 1914 in Johnson County from "Unknown. Supposed to be Angina Pectaralis. Also on this certificate, his birthplace is listed as Johnson County, His birth date as January 3, 1871, his marital status as blank, his occupation as farmer, his parents as David H. Conley (b. Johnson County) and Nancy Conley (b. Johnson County), the informant as W. B. Conley of Oil Springs, the doctor as Grant Rice [Ulysses Grant Rice], and was buried in W. S. Price Cemetery.

She survived by 2 sons, Wendell Conley (of Oil Springs) and Wardie Conley (Oil Springs); 2 daughters, Margie Conley (Oil Springs) and Martha Conley (Oil Springs); 15 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchildren. JOSEPH ALLEN, son of JOHN ALLEN and NANCY JANE CLICK, was born in November of 1839 in Kentucky. He married REBECCA WIREMAN, daughter of JACOB WIREMAN and SUSANNAH (unknown last name), about 1866. She was born in September of 1846 in Kentucky.

Notes: Joseph Allen was a veteran of the Civil War. Rebecca filed for a pension because of this on July 30, 1914.

On page 12 of the 1860 census for Magoffin County, Kentucky (dated June 15, 1860), Joseph Allen is listed as the head of the household for house #76, he's a farmer, living by himself, born in Kentucky, and he's 21 years old. Living on one side of him is John Allen Jr. (his brother) and his wife Polly. Living on the other side of him is John Wireman (born in Pennsylvania, age 64), Rebecca Wireman (born in Tennessee, age 50), and Delpha Carpenter (born in North Carolina, age 80). It wouldn't be unusual if Delpha turned out to be Rebecca's mother, but her last name has been reported to be Sizemore, daughter of George Sizemore and Sallie Anderson. Living two more houses down is Morgan Wireman (born in Kentucky, age 17) and his wife Sallie (born in Kentucky, age 18), who are found living close to Joseph in 1870. Another house down is Adam Allen (Joseph's brother) and family in house #80. In the next house is a John Wireman and then a Jacob Wireman. Jacob is living in house #82 and he's 39 years old. Jacob's wife is Susanah (born in Kentucky, age 37), and his children are Nancy (born in Kentucky, age 17), Abraham (born in Kentucky, age 14), Rebecca (born in Kentucky, age 12), Vernia (born in Kentucky, age 10), Daniel (born in Kentucky, age 9), Sallie (born in Kentucky, age 7), Russell (born in Kentucky, age 6), John (born in Kentucky, age 4), and Wiley (born in Kentucky, age 5 months). She was born about 1828 and died about 1851. He married (3) MARY "POLLY" WHITAKER, daughter of JOHNSON WHITAKER and SUSANNA HOWARD ARNETT. She was born about 1830 in Floyd County, Kentucky.
