He married GRACE CARPENTER, daughter of LEANDER C. CARPENTER and JOSEPHINE CONLEY, about 1917. She was born March 14, 1896 in Spring Fork, Breathitt County, Kentucky, died June 6, 1976 in Leander, Johnson County, Kentucky, and is buried in Carpenter Cemetery in Leander, Johnson County, Kentucky.

    Notes: When Everett Williams' World War I draft registration card was filled out on June 5, 1917 in Johnson County, Kentucky, he stated that he was employed by Henry Blanton as a "laborer in lumbering," that he was single, and that he was born October 15, 1894 in Kenwood, Kentucky. He was found to be of medium height and build, and he had blue eyes and dark brown hair.

    According to his death certificate, Everett Williams committed suicide by hanging himself on March 10, 1952 in Minefork. Also on this certificate, his birthdate is listed as October 15, 1894, his marital status as married, and his parents as Henry Williams and Rebecca Blanton.

    Notes: Lewis Boone was a descendant of George Boone and Mary Milton Maugridge, who were the grandparents of Daniel Boone. Daniel's father, Squire, and Lewis' 4th great-grandfather, Joseph, were brothers.

    When Lewis Boone's World War I draft registration card was filled out in 1917 in Harrison County, Kentucky, he stated that he was a self-employed farmer in Berry, Kentucky, that he was single, that he had bad lungs, and that he was born May 23, 1894 in Harrison County. He was found to be short, of medium build, and he had gray eyes and brown hair.

    According to his death certificate, Lewis Boone died December 27, 1931 in Collier from a dislocated hip and internal injuries that he suffered in a fall from a tree.     Notes: According to "The Conley Clan of Eastern Kentucky," published and sold by The Magoffin County Historical Society (page 527), Verna Conley was born March 21, 1901, and died March 28, 1964. She married Warren Rayburn.

    Warren Rayburn's mother's maiden name was reportedly Nevada Logan, but no luck was had in confirming that. Her 1st name has also been reported to be Lavada but it is clearly either Nevada or Navada throughout the years in the census reports.

    There was another child born in this family that was premature and stillborn. He was born August 8, 1928 in Ashland, Boyd County, and is buried in the Ashland Cemetery.

    When Warren Rayburn's World War I draft registration card was filled out on September 12, 1918 in Vanceburg, Lewis County, Kentucky, he stated that he was a farmer working for W.F. Watson in Battle Creek, that his closest relative was French Rayburn - father - of Emerson, Lewis County, and that he was born October 10, 1898. He was found to be tall and stout, and he had blue eyes and light-colored hair.

    STELLA M. HINTON, daughter of TONIE HARRIETT REEDER and EZEKIEL HINTON, was born March 25, 1901 in Rowan County, Kentucky, and died November 10, 1939 in Soldier, Carter County, Kentucky. She married MELVIN CASTLE about 1918. He was born October 14, 1897 in Kentucky, and died May 23, 1975 in Morehead, Rowan County, Kentucky.

    Notes: When Melvin Castle's World War I draft registration card was filled out on September 12, 1918 in Grayson, Carter County, Kentucky, he stated that he was a clay miner working for Kentucky Fire Brick Company in Haldeman, Rowan County, that his closest relative was Stella Castle of Upper Tygart, Carter County, and that he was born October 14, 1897. He was found to be of medium height and build, and he had blue eyes and brown hair.

    According to her death certificate, Stella Hinton Castle died November 10, 1939 in Soldier from a uterus hemorrhage. Also on this certificate, her birthplace is listed as Rowan County, her birthdate as March 25, 1901, her marital status as married, her husband as Melvin Castle, her parents as Zeke Hinton (b. Rowan County) and Tony Reeder (b. Rowan County), and the informant as Melvin Castle of Soldier, Kentucky.
