JAMES M. DAVIS, son of MARY "POLLY" ELIZABETH CONLEY and BRACKEN LEE DAVIS, was born January 20, 1863 in Kentucky, died March 29, 1938 in Buffalo, Johnson County, Kentucky, and is buried in the Davis Cemetery in Meally, Johnson County, Kentucky. He married (1) CRESEDA "EDITH" HALL, daughter of JOHN MARTIN HALL and SUSAN GOBLE, about 1881. She was born December 25, 1859 in Johnson County, Kentucky. He married (2) TRINVILLA ARROWOOD, daughter of GEORGE ARROWOOD and SAMANTHA C. DILLINGHAM, about 1889. She was born in April of 1870 in Millers Creek, Johnson County, Kentucky, died February 9, 1943 in Buffalo, Johnson County, Kentucky, and is buried in the Davis Cemetery in Meally, Johnson County, Kentucky.
Notes: There's no absolute proof that Creseda Hall was the Lucretia Hall that married James Davis, but everything fits. Her name is Lucretia in her daughter Loumintie's obituary. Creseda's brother Andrew's son, John, is found living with Loumintie's family in 1910, and next to them in 1920. There is no Lucretia Hall found an any census for Johnson County and Creseda is as close as it gets. Creseda probably died about the time her daughter was born in 1882.
Creseda Hall was the sister of Andrew Joseph Hall and Martin M. Hall.
According to Kentucky birth records, Creseda Hall was born December 25, 1859 in Johnson County to John M. Hall and Susan Gobble.
