From Gregory Donald Cantrell:

"While reading through your website, I came upon the following passage (see below) talking about the confusion created as Lonza suddenly appearing as the 'Head of Household' previously held by John Keaton Cantrell. My father knew Lonza (who he called Uncle Lonzie) very well and the two of them had a long rambling conversation at a family reunion shortly before Lonzie's death. During the conversation, Lonzie related his memory of being 'adopted' by John Keaton at a very early age. Lonzie's parents were Elijah and Margaret. According to Lonzie, one day when he was very young (younger than 6), John Keaton came to his home, picked him up and put him on his shoulder, and told Elijah 'this one is mine, you can raise the rest' and took Lonzie home. From that day forward, Lonzie was raised by his grandfather John Keaton as if he was his own. Dad related this story to me several times, most recently just before his own death last year."

"For Margaret Ann Cantrell - I have a photo of her tombstone, located in Morgan Co., Kentucky. Shows birth February 14, 1873, death March 5, 1958. I have not yet obtained a copy of her death certificate. She is buried next to E. L. Cantrell. An annotated copy of the 1910 Morgan County Census shows Elijah and Margaret married on July 19, 1887.

"I have secondary source information that suggests her parents were Preston Bowling and Nancy J. Trimble. An annotated copy of 1880 Morgan Co. census shows daughter Margaret A, age 9, in their household (so the age is incorrect by 2 years). I am working on primary source information to confirm her parents' names."

James' name is listed as Fitzpatrick after 1860.

Information on this family can be found on page 509 of the book "Johnson County, Kentucky: A History of the County, and Genealogy of Its People Up to the Year 1927" by Mitchell Hall. In that book it says:

"The larger family of Robinsons in Johnson County are descended from the first-named William Robinson, of Virginia. It is said that Mr. Robinson was a very strong man, a great fighter, and that he lived to a ripe age. He had a son Samuel Robinson, who was the father of Robert (Rob) Robinson, M. L. Robinson, Mrs. Seville Fitchpatrick, and others."

The body was laid to rest Saturday, May 20, in the old family cemetery at Leander. Services were in charge of the Rev. Scott Castle. Mrs. Woods was born in Johnson County and spent her entire life in this region. She was well known and characterized for her honesty and uprighteousness. She had been an active member of the Missionary Baptist Church since her fifteenth year, serving many years as superintendent of the Sunday School and in other religious work. She lived a life worthy of anyone to follow. Her parents, Civilian and Martha Ann Fitzpatrick, preceded her in death some years ago. On November 23, 1903, her husband Samuel Woods passed away. Their children are Dennie and Basil at home and Mrs. Ollie Brown, city. She is also survived by a brother Burns Fitzpatrick, Knoxville, Tenn."

He was a member of one of the old families of the county, being a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Seville Fitzpatrick. Besides his widow, Mrs. Sissie (Estep) Fitzpatrick, he is survived by two sons, Earl and Normal Fitzpatrick, both of Leander; one grandchild; one brother, Burns Fitzpatrick, of Mascot, Tennessee, and one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Wood, of Leander. Another brother, Will Fitzpatrick, died less than a year ago. His brother, Burns Fitzpatrick, became famous more than thirty years ago. He was one of the jurors summoned in Kentucky to try Curt Jett, charged with the murder of Governor William Goebel who was assassinated at Frankfort shortly after being elected. The case was tried at Jackson, Breathitt county. Eleven of the jurors were for the death penalty, while Fitzpatrick held out steadily against inflicting capital punishment. Because of his saving the life of the notorious prisoner, Fitzpatrick became a headliner in all Kentucky newspapers at that time. Funeral services were held at the home at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. Burial followed in family cemetery."
