He married (1) (unknown first name) RATLIFF. He married (2) MARY DIXON, daughter of HENRY F. DIXON and JANE STAFFORD, November 17, 1890 in Johnson County, Kentucky. She was born in April of 1865 in Paintsville, Johnson County, Kentucky.

Information on this family can also be found on pages 460 & 485 of the book "Johnson County, Kentucky: A History of the County, and Genealogy of Its People Up to the Year 1927" by Mitchell Hall. In that book it says that Frank P. Conley married Mary Dixon, daughter of Henry Dixon. Their children were Eugene Conley (married Mabel Rice) and Lillie "Shug" Conley (married Clyde Hazelett). It also says "Frank Conley married Ratliff, second Mary Dixon. Mr. Conley has been dead for several years. He lived on Henclip Branch near Paintsville."

Mary Dixon was the sister of John Dixon and Peter C. Dixon.

Jane Stafford's maiden name was confirmed by finding the birth records of 3 of her children, Benjamin F. Dixon (1855), Mirza Dixon (1859), and Peter C. Dixon (1878).

When Clyde Hayslette's World War I draft registration card was filled out on September 12, 1918 in Paintsville, Johnson County, Kentucky, he stated that he was a self-employed farmer in Paintsville, that his closest relative was Lillie Hayslette of Paintsville, and that he was born January 31, 1884. He was found to be tall and slender, and he had blue eyes, black hair, and he had lost his left leg.

According to her obituary, Lillian Conley Hayslett (age 89), daughter of Frank P. and Mary Dixon Conley and a resident of Paintsville, was born November 19, 1893 in Johnson County, died August 12, 1983 in Mountain Manor Nursing Home in Pikeville after and extended illness, and was buried in Wells Cemetery in Paintsville. She was also the mother of Captain Warren Rice who was killed in the Argonne Forest during World War I. He was born in March of 1863 in Ohio, died August 8, 1940 in Scioto County, Ohio, and is buried in Lucasville Cemetery in Lucasville, Scioto County, Ohio. John Curtis Lundy married (1) TEMPA JANE COLLEY.

It also says "Laura Conley first married Peter Cooper Dixion [sic] on July 4, 1896 in Johnson County, Kentucky. Peter died in 1914 from Typhoid Fever at the age of 36. He is buried in Johnson, Kentucky. Peter's parents: Henry F. Dixon and Jane Stafford." It also says that Laura's spouse when she died was John Curtis Lundy (1866-1940), who is buried in the same cemetery. And "John is son of George Elisha Lundy and Ludina Bain or Bays. (Note: there is an Ohio marriage record for a John C. Lundy to Tempa Jane Colley, Sept 24, 1882, Scioto, Ohio) uncertain if same John? He married widow Laura CONLEY Dixon, May 31, 1916, Greenup, Kentucky. The KY marriage record indicates both were widowed, name used 'Curtis.' Notes: When Charles Morgan's World War I draft registration card was filled out on June 5, 1918, he stated that he was working in Lucasville, Ohio, that his closest relative was Mrs. John Morgan of Lucasville, that he was born February 23, 1897 in Ohio, and that his father was born in Lucasville, Ohio. He was found to be of medium height and build, and he had grey eyes and black hair.

He was also survived by 3 step-children, K. B. Williams (Paintsville), Ralph Williams (Paintsville), and Mrs. Irvin Rice (Paintsville); 2 sisters, Mrs. Mary Taylor (Paintsville) and Mrs. Murza Borders (White House). When Alfred Conley's World War II draft registration card was filled out on April 26, 1942 in Baltimore, Maryland, he stated that he was working for Bethlehem Steel Corporation in Baltimore, that the person who would always know his address was Buck Sherman [brother-in-law Henry "Buck" Sherman] of Auxier, Kentucky, and that he was born April 3, 1889 in Paintsville, Kentucky. He was found to be 5 feet 6 inches tall, he weighed 137 pounds, and he had blue eyes, gray hair, a light complexion, and a "small nail on the right hand little finger."

According to Social Security death record transcripts, Alfred Conley was born April 3, 1889, and died in October of 1967. He received his Social Security card prior to 1951 in Maryland, and his last place of residence was in Paintsville, Johnson County, Kentucky.

According to Kentucky death record transcripts, Alfred Conley died October 21, 1967 in Pike County at the age of 78. He was living in Johnson County at the time of his death.

On page 22 of the 1910 census for District 65 (Paintsville) in Johnson County, Kentucky (dated April 27, 1910), John Dixon is listed as the head of the household for house #165, he's a farmer, born in Kentucky, parents born in Kentucky, 2nd marriage, married for 7 years, and he's 42 years old. (wife, born in Kentucky, parents born in Kentucky, 2nd marriage, married for 7 years, she's given birth to 4 children and all are still living, age 42), Fay (daughter, born in Kentucky, age 14), Fannie (daughter, born in Kentucky, age 12), Evertt Williams (step-son, single, surveyor, born in Kentucky, parents born in Kentucky, age 22), and Ralph B. BOBBY JOE MOLLETTE, son of LAURA ANNA DAVIS and FRED V. MOLLETTE, was born February 26, 1933 in Johnson County, Kentucky, died February 19, 1981 in Van Lear, Johnson County, Kentucky, and was buried in the family cemetery in Van Lear, Johnson County, Kentucky. He married LORRAINE WELLS, daughter of ALI WELLS and SADIE COLLINS.

Notes: Sadie Collins was the sister of Alexander M. Collins.

According to her obituary, Sadie Collins Wells (age 57), daughter of Perry and Alberta Spears Collins, had been a resident of Daniels Creek her entire life. She was born June 29, 1908, died May 8, 1965 in Raceland, Kentucky, and was buried in the family cemetery in Daniels Creek. She was survived by her husband, Ali Wells; 3 sons, Sammy Wells (of Van Lear), Franklin Wells (Van Lear), and Ali Wells Jr. (Van Lear); 8 daughters, Jean Caudill (Russell, Kentucky), Eileen Oney (Raceland), Mary Collins (Van Lear), Loraine Blair (Van Lear), Donnis Ann Wells (Van Lear), Mary Allen (Columbus, Georgia), Cindy Morris (Ashland), and Donna Rambo (Worthington, Ohio); 5 brothers, Hansford Collins (Denver, Colorado), Tillman Collins (Flatwoods), Joe Collins (Weeksberry), James Collins (Taylor, Michigan), and Harmon Collins (Taylor); 3 sisters, Rosa Stafford (Coal Grove, Ohio), Estell Gibson (Florida), and Cynthia Collins (Van Lear); and 15 grandchildren.
