According to his death certificate, Milford Arms died March 8, 1929 in Paintsville from valvular heart disease. Also on this certificate, his birthplace is listed as Kentucky, his birth date as February 15, 1877, his marital status as married, his wife as Lora Arms, his occupation as lawyer, his parents as Elijah B. Arms (b. Johnson County) and Martha Jane Blair (b. Johnson County), and the informant as Sam K. Arms of Denver, Kentucky. Sam Arms was Milford's brother.

According to her obituary, Lora Rice Pelphrey (age 59), daughter of the late Bascom and Frankie Fletcher Rice, was born January 18, 1895, died January 10, 1955 at the home of her sister, Mrs. Lucy Rice Conley, following an illness of 3 months, and was buried in Rice Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clark Pelphrey, on January 29, 1950. She was survived by 1 brother, Luther Rice (of Ashland); and 2 sisters, Mrs. Lucy Conley (of Hager Hill) and Mrs. R. Kazee's World War I draft registration card was filled out on September 12, 1918 in Osceola, St. Clair County, Missouri, he stated that he was a minister in Appleton, Missouri, that his closest relative was Arizona A. Kazee of Appleton, and that he was born October 1, 1877. He was found to be of medium height and slender build, and he had light blue eyes and black hair.

When Daniel B. Kazee's World War II draft registration card was filled out on April 27, 1942 in Goldengate, Wayne County, Illinois, he stated that he was a Methodist minister in Goldengate, that his closest relative was Anna Kazee of Goldengate, and that he was born October 1, 1877 in Blaine, Kentucky. He was found to be 5 feet 7 inches tall, he weighed 145 pounds, and he had gray eyes, brown hair, a ruddy complexion, and a scar on his right forearm.

She was born January 8, 1885, and died September 7, 1954.

Green Conley's obituary says that he was born March 23, 1881, but he was shown to be born in March of 1880 in the census for that year. His name is listed as Green B. Conley in a number of different places.

When Green Conley's World War I draft registration card was filled out on September 12, 1918 in Johnson County, Kentucky, he stated that he was a watchman for the Consolidation Coal Company in Van Lear, Johnson County, that his closest relative was "Mollie Conley wife" of Van Lear, and that he was born March 23, 1881. He was found to be tall and stout, and he had brown eyes and black hair.

According to his obituary, Green Conley (age 77), son of the late Hiram F. and Mary Ann Estep Conley and a Van Lear resident, retired miner and a former police chief, was born March 23, 1881 in Johnson County, Kentucky, died November 15, 1958 in a local Johnson County hosptal, and was buried in the Cumbo Cemetery in West Van Lear. According to his obituary in the Paintsville Herald, "Pvt. Meek, 19, son of Mrs. Asa (Mariah) Meek, city, has been reported killed on July 10 in France. He previously was reported missing in action on July 10, but a War Department telegram received on August 10 by his mother listed him as having been killed. An infantryman with the 83rd Division, Pvt. Meek entered the army in October 1943, and had been overseas since May 1944. In civilian life he was employed by the State Highway Department. Pvt. Meek had his training at Camp Wheeler, Ga. In April of this year, he was given a thirteen day furlough which he spent with his mother and brothers and sisters before going on to Ft. Geo. G. Meade, Md. While training at Camp Wheeler, he qualified as an expert marksman with the rifle, the mortar, the hand grenade and the machine gun, bayonet, pistol and carbine. In addition to his mother, Pvt. He was found to be of medium height and slender build, and he had black eyes and black hair. Not being able to read or write, he signed the card with an "X."

According to a newspaper article about her 85th birthday party, Gertrude Hamilton Meade, daughter of the late Isaac and Louisa Conley Hamilton, was born July 3, 1899 in Morgan County [although it's July of 1897 and she's 2 years old in the 1900 census], and was the wife of the late Sam Meade, who died in 1957. She was the mother of 8 children, Wannie Meade (of Catlettsburg), Sam Meade Jr. (Catlettsburg), Mrs. Walter Black (Catlettsburg), Andrew Meade (Ashland), R. C. Meade (Ashland), Vertrice Clark (Cleveland, Ohio), Robert Marion Meade (Louisa), and the late James Meade. She lived in the Ashland area during the summer with her sisters, Ola Williams and Myrtle Cantrell, and the rest of the year with her daughter in Cleveland.
