She was born about 1857 in Illinois. Cynthia married (1) CHARLES HEMPSHAL in 1872.

Charles was found to be tall and slender, and he had blue eyes and brown hair.

She married (2) LINDSEY "DICK" CONLEY, son of JOHN CLINT CONLEY and SOPHRONIA HELEN JOHNSON, July 9, 1919. He was born March 24, 1895 in Johnson County, Kentucky, died August 5, 1983 in Paintsville, Johnson County, Kentucky, and is buried in the family cemetery in Hager Hill, Johnson County, Kentucky. Lindsey Conley married (2) RUTH BLAIR, daughter of JOHN BLAIR and LYDIA BURKE. She was born April 28, 1907 in Johnson County, Kentucky, died April 4, 1996 in Georgetown, Scott County, Kentucky, and is buried in Conley Cemetery in Hager Hill, Johnson County, Kentucky.

    Notes: Emerson Picklesimer was the brother of Aurora Picklesimer. He married (2) Lillie M. Fairchild, daughter of David M. Fairchild and Martha Alice Trimble.

He was survived by his wife, Ruth Blair Conley; and 2 sisters, Mrs. Ollie Rice (of Hager Hill) and Mrs. Arizona "Sissy" Horn (Hager Hill).
