She married IRA HEBERN SCOTT, son of ALONZO SCOTT and CORDELIA (unknown last name), about 1915. He was born January 24, 1893 in Magoffin County, Kentucky, died June 25, 1949 in Riceville, Johnson County, Kentucky, and is buried in the family cemetery in Riceville, Johnson County, Kentucky.
Notes: Ira Hebern Scott was the brother of Dora Scott.
Hebern Scott's mother's maiden name was reportedly Cordelia Meade.
When Hebern Scott's World War I draft registration card was filled out on June 5, 1917 in Magoffin County, Kentucky, he stated that he was a self-employed farmer in Conley, Kentucky, that he was married, and that he was born January 24, 1893 in Ballot, Kentucky. He was found to be tall, of medium build, he had blue eyes (only one), and he had brown hair. Not being able to read or write, he signed the card with an "X."
According to her obituary, Mary Blair Scott (age 67), daughter of the late Lewis and Lizzie Salyer Blair, was a lifelong resident of Swamp Branch. She was born October 30, 1901, died June 23, 1969 in King's Daughters Hospital in Ashland after an illness of 1 week, and was buried in the family cemetery in Swamp Branch. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hebern Scott. She was survived by 3 sons, Buck Scott (of Swamp Branch), Hebern Scott Jr. (South Charleston, Ohio), and Thomas Scott (South Charleston, Ohio); 6 daughters, Mrs. Hazel Jackson (Stock Bridge, Michigan), Mrs. Hager Hannah (Swamp Branch), Mrs. Kathleen Litteral (Swamp Branch), Mrs. Edna Mae Blanton (Swamp Branch), Mrs. Cledith Hannah (South Solon, Ohio), and Mrs. Margie May (Springfield, Ohio); 2 brothers, Homer Blair (Oil Springs) and Ross Blair (Oil Springs); 2 sisters, Mrs. Dona Crace (Oil Springs) and Mrs. Lula Blevins (Paintsville); 49 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. According to his obituary, Hebern Scott, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lon Scott, was a retired farmer and miner. He was born January 24, 1893, died June 25, 1949 after an illness of 6 months, and was buried in the family cemetery in Riceville.
