She was born October 13, 1851 in Greene County, Illinois, and died December 15, 1900 in Los Alamitos, Orange County, California. He married (2) ELIZA (unknown last name). She was born about 1857 in Illinois. Cynthia married (1) CHARLES HEMPSHAL in 1872.

Notes: Synthia Farnham's brother, John R. Farnham, can be found living with Cynthia's daughter-in-law Minnie Belle Smith's parents in 1920.

Information on this family can also be found on pages 461 & 487 of the book "Johnson County, Kentucky: A History of the County, and Genealogy of Its People Up to the Year 1927" by Mitchell Hall. In that book it says that Albert Conley married Ida Blair, daughter of Ned Blair, and that their children were Raymond Conley (married Carmie Meade) and Hazel Conley (married 1st Emerson Picklesimer, and married 2nd Dick Conley. It also says "Albert Conley lived on the Middle Fork of Jennie's Creek. He died many years ago and is buried in the Conley Graveyard on the present farm of C C. Meade. His wife Ida survives and retains her home on Middle Fork. Raymond and Hazel were both teachers in the rural schools of the county. Raymond continues in that capacity. He and his wife make their home with his mother. He had the misfortune of being burned when a child, which crippled him in his arm and face to a certain degree, and has remained so since. Hazel and her husband also reside on Middle Fork."
