      Clyde A. Wright, 67, of Woodside Blvd, Lexington, died Wednesday morning, December 24, 2003, in The Cleveland Clinic following a short illness.
      He was born December 26, 1935 in Germany Hollar, near Wheelersburg to William and Emma (LeMaster) Wright, and moved to the Mansfield area in 1968 from Canton.
      Clyde had a passion for singing, and early in life sang tenor in a gospel quartet. He’d take nearly every opportunity to turn it into a reason to sing, even recently buying a karaoke machine, to entertain the grandchildren.
      In 1989, Clyde founded Wrightway Packaging, Inc. a corrugated container packaging company in Mansfield, as he just loved to make boxes, especially cookie boxes.
      He had raised and bred Arabian horses at his stables and barn on State Route 546 near Lexington, was an ardent fan of The Ohio State University Buckeyes Football Team, and delighted in the antics of his West Highland Terrier Buddy.
      He is survived by his wife Judith J. (Benner) Wright, whom he married July 1, 1953; three sons Rick Wright of Lexington, Randy Wright and his wife Michelle of Fort Thomas, Kentucky, and Craig Wright of Mansfield; four grandchildren Sara Wright, Hannah Wright, Joshua Wright, and Kara Wright; and three sisters Alberta Sloan and Betty Forrest both of Michigan and Ruby Townsend of Wheelersburg.
      Three brothers preceded him in death.
      The family will receive friends Sunday, December 28, 2003 from 3-6 pm in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home, where the funeral service will be held Monday at 10:30 am. Pastor Craig Hamm will officiate. Burial will follow in Lexington Cemetery.

He was born October 7, 1866 in Kentucky, died April 7, 1924 in Paintsville, Johnson County, Kentucky, and is buried in Manila, Johnson County, Kentucky. James Blanton married (2) ORPHA LEE EVANS, daughter of BENJAMIN P. EVANS and SARAH ELIZABETH "SALLY" FYFFE, about 1892. She was born September 23, 1870 in Kentucky, died November 16, 1961 in Harold, Floyd County, Kentucky, and is buried in Salyer Cemetery in Flat Gap, Johnson County, Kentucky.

Estep (Flat Gap); 2 daughters, Martha Estep (Flat Gap) and Sarah Jane Cantrill (Flat Gap); 1 brother, J. W. Evans (Meally, Kentucky); and 1 sister, Orpha Blanton (Hite, Kentucky). Adkins lived from August 20, 1903 to November 22, 1951, and was buried in the same cemetery.

According to Ohio death record transcripts, Goldie Adkins died November 24, 1956.

According to Ohio death record transcripts, Eli Adkins died November 22, 1951 in Knox County.

On page 8 of the 1940 census for District 44-2 (Decatur) in Lawrence County, Ohio (dated April 11, 1940), Eli Adkins is listed as the head of the household for house #57, he's a laborer doing road construction, born in Kentucky, he was living in rural Pickaway County, Ohio, in 1935, he has a 3rd grade education, and he's 36 years old. Also listed are Goldie (wife, born in Kentucky, 2nd grade education, age 29), James (son, born in Ohio, age 4), and Mary (daughter, born in Ohio, age 1).

    1. JAMES ADKINS, b. 1936, Ohio.
    2. MARY M. ADKINS, b. April 9, 1939, Darbyville, Pickaway County, Ohio, d. October 13, 2002, m. (unknown first name) KEATON.
