She married WILLIAM FAIN, son of ARTHUR CHARLES FAIN and MARY JANE "JANE" BARBER, about 1877. He was born in April of 1851 in Kentucky, and died March 7, 1903.

Information on this family can also be found on page 176 of the book "Johnson County, Kentucky: A History of the County, and Genealogy of Its People Up to the Year 1927" by Mitchell Hall. In that book it says that Irene Conley was born May 26, 1857.

William Fain's sister, Mary Frances Fain, married Syrenaa "Irene" Conley's brother, Benjamin Franklin Conley.

William Fain's middle name has been reported to be Milton.

According to her death certificate, Irene Fain died January 2, 1939 in King's Daughters Hospital from a fractured left hip and pneumonia. Also on this certificate, her birthplace is listed as Johnson County, her birth date as May 26, 1857, her marital status as widowed, her husband as William Fain, her parents as Henry Fain [mistake] (b. Kentucky) and Mahala Davis (b. unknown), the informant as Mrs. A. J. Lyons of Ashland, Kentucky, and the burial place as Ashland Cemetery in Ashland.

According to Kentucky death record transcripts, Irene Fain died January 2, 1939 in Boyd County at the age of 81. She was living in Ashland at the time of her death.

A photo found online of William Fain's headstone shows that he died March 7, 1903 at the age of 50 years and 11 months. The headstone is reportedly located in a small cemetery on his property in "Carter/Boyd County," Kentucky.

Information found on findagrave.com and a photo of their headstones shows that Hyla McNeal lived from 1878 to 1939, and was buried in Section 7 in Ashland Cemetery in Ashland, Boyd County, Kentucky, that Harry Rice McNeal lived from 1874 to 1964, was buried in the same section of the same cemetery, and that Grant McNeal lived from 1900 to 1919, and was buried in the same section of the same cemetery.

According to her death certificate, Mrs. Hylah Fain McNeal died October 6, 1939 in King's Daughters Hospital from heart problems due to arteriosclerosis. Also on this certificate, her birthplace is listed as Carter County, her birth date as September 14, 1878, her marital status as married, her husband as Harry R. According to Social Security death record transcripts, Azzel Lyon was born March 28, 1878, and died in March of 1964. He received his Social Security card prior to 1951 in Kentucky, and his last place of residence was in Ohio.

He was survived by his wife, Marlene Reatherford Webb; 1 son, Michael Dean Webb (of Prestonsburg); 2 daughters, Drema Gayle Buchanan (Prestonsburg) and Melanie Ann Rucker (Ashland); 3 sisters, Bett Petrey (Springfield, Ohio), Joyce Music (Springfield), and Sherry Wetzel (Van Lear, Kentucky); 5 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
