He married MYRTLE S. WILLIAMS, daughter of ELI GRANVILLE WILLIAMS and MARY ANN LONG, about 1906. She was born in December of 1883 in Kentucky, and died November 9, 1956 in Boyd County, Kentucky.

Notes: Lillie Conley's brother, James, married Delbert Barnhill's sister, Maude. Lillie's brother, Charles, married Delbert's sister, Mary.

When Dell Barnhill's World War I draft registration card was filled out in Carter County, Kentucky, he stated that he was a self-employed farmer in Carter County with a wife and 1 child, that he had trouble with his heart, and that he was born August 26, 1892 in Owenstown, Kentucky. He was found to be of medium height and stout build, and he had blue eyes and brown hair.

Information found on findagrave.com and a photo of their headstone shows that Lillie Barnhill lived from 1888 to 1964, and was buried in Cribbs Hill Cemetery in Grayson, Carter County, Kentucky, and that Dell Barnhill lived from 1892 to 1946, and was buried in the same cemetery.

According to his death certificate, Dell Barnhill died September 17, 1946 in Stovall Hospital in Rush, Carter County, Kentucky, from carcinoma of the rectum. He was born February 20, 1937 in Johnson County, died July 17, 2009 in Highlands Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg, and was buried in Richmond Cemetery in Prestonsburg.
