She was survived by her husband, Lonza Castle; 1 brother, William Johnson (of Hinton, West Virginia); and 2 sisters, Mrs. Exer Lilly (East Point) and Mrs. Lora Wells (East Point).

According to his obituary, Lonza Castle (age 58), son of Linzie and Stella Charles Castle and a veteran of World War II, was born July 24, 1909 in Lawrence County, and died June 13, 1968 in the Veteran's Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his wife, Drucie Johnson Castle, and survived by 2 brothers, Samuel Castle (of Thealka) and Elbert Castle (Thealka); 1 sister, Mrs. Bessie Castle Hall (Delbarton West Virginia); and 1 half-sister, Mrs. Mary Charles (Columbus, Ohio).

Dotson's World War I draft registration card was filled out on September 12, 1918 in Prestonsburg, Floyd County, Kentucky, he stated that he was a farmer, that his closest relative was Lemma Dotson of Bonanza, Floyd County, and that he was born February 19, 1885. He was found to be of medium height and build, and he had brown eyes and dark brown hair.

According to her obituary, Lema Baldridge Dotson (age 71), daughter of the late James and Louise Music Baldridge, was a resident of East Point, Kentucky, at the time of her death. EUGENE OGDEN CONLEY, son of ELECTIOUS OGDEN "OGDEN" CONLEY and ESTHER M. ROEBUCK, was born October 24, 1927 in Ohio, and died January 21, 1967 in North Vietnam. He married ELAINE K. ZENON. She was born in Akron, Summit County, Ohio.

Eugene Ogden Conley was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and was serving in Vietnam in 1967 when he was shot down. His remains were returned June 22, 1989, but they weren't identified until July 15, 2002. He is on panel 14E of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C.

The Air Force Cross is presented to Eugene Ogden Conley, Lieutenant Colonel, U.S. Air Force, for extraordinary heroism as an F-105 Thunderchief pilot over North Vietnam on 21 January 1967. On that date, Colonel Conley was the Seventh Air Force’s mission commander for a two-wing strike force launched against a heavily defended rail yard in the vicinity of Hanoi. Coolly evaluating the hostile force’s defensive posture, he skillfully led the first flight through the concentrated flak barrages and picked his way past the deadly surface-to-air missiles. After visually acquiring the target, he scanned the area for the heaviest concentration of hostile fire upon which to unload his deadly weapons in order to minimize the threat to those he led. He attacked his target and then, with complete disregard for his personal safety, he circled the target area to incite the defenders to unleash their full defensive might against him, thereby permitting his followers to destroy the target. Observing a hostile missile site near the target, he marked it, ordered an attack against it, and then fearlessly circled back over the target area to seek out other hostile defenses. Through his extraordinary heroism, superb airmanship, and aggressiveness in the face of hostile forces, Lieutenant Colonel Conley reflected the highest credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.

LENDSEY CONLEY, son of AQUILLA C. CONLEY and MARTHA JANE CANTRELL, was born August 28, 1899 in Kentucky, died October 2, 1979 in Greenup County, Kentucky, and is buried in McKnight Cemetery in Boyd County, Kentucky.

When Linzie Conley's World War I draft registration card was filled out on September 12, 1918 in Greenup County, Kentucky, he stated that he was a farmer working for A. C. Conley in Indian Run, Greenup County, and that he was born August 28, 1899. He was found to be short and stout, and he had brown eyes and brown hair.

Information found on findagrave.com and a photo of his headstone shows that Lendsey Conley lived from August 28, 1899 to October 2, 1979, and was buried in McKnight Cemetery in Boyd County, Kentucky.

According to Social Security death record transcripts, Lendsy Conley was born July 1, 1899, and died in October of 1979. His last place of residence was in Ashland, Boyd County, Kentucky.

William Rose is listed as the head of his household [no house or family numbers], he works for the railroad, born in Kentucky, father born in Pennsylvania, mother born in Kentucky, and he's 30 years old. Also listed are Mary (wife, born in Kentucky, parents born in Kentucky, age 27), Clyde (son, born in Ashland, age 6), and Linzy (brother, works in a steel plant, born in Ashland, parents born in Kentucky, age 20).






BILLY EUGENE CONLEY, son of SHERMAN S. CONLEY and JUNE B. CONLEY, was born January 23, 1932 in Johnson County, Kentucky, died September 1, 1980 in Upper Sandusky, Wyandot County, Ohio, and is buried in Spring Grove Cemetery near Carey, Wyandot County, Ohio. He married CAROL PINKS on September 6, 1950.

He was preceded in death by 1 sister, Mrs. Russell Bibbee. He was survived by his parents; his wife, Carol Pinks Conley, whom he married on September 6, 1950; 1 son, Michael Conley (of Carey); 2 daughters, Mrs. Judy Craft (Carey) and Mrs. Tonya Bond (Carey); 2 brothers, Victor Conley (Carey) and Sherman Jr. (Vanlue); 2 sisters, Mrs. Hansel Caudill (Carey) and Mrs. Harold Caudill (Kilbourn); and 3 grandchildren.
